Meet the Head: Mr David Girvan

 


The Firs Prep Chester, the leading independent school for boys and girls aged 0-11 years old, has appointed former deputy headteacher David Girvan as its new headteacher. He will take over at the independent primary school from September this year.

Mr David Girvan comments, “I am honoured to have been chosen as the new headteacher of The Firs School. It is a great privilege to be given the opportunity to lead this inspirational and very happy specialist primary school.”

“I look forward to working with the pupils, staff and parents at this inspirational school full of respectful, sincere, kind, and curious individuals as we continue to prepare children for the next step in their educational journey. Ensuring that they move into the right school for them.”

When not working, Mr Girvan enjoys climbing, travel, music and especially football, which he regularly plays and attends Liverpool FC matches.

Director of the Firs Prep School Chester, Tim Longman said: “ We are delighted that David Girvan will be leading the Firs School Chester. He encapsulates all the qualities, skills and experience we wanted to see in our new headteacher. His has vision and leadership and combines this perfectly with a passion for education and a real desire to do the very best for every single pupil in our school. We very much look forward to him taking on the new role in September.”
